Terms of Service

Last updated: {{DATE}}

1. Who we are

LymeBooks is a bookkeeping service operated by Interapp Development, Inc. ("we", "us"), {{COMPANY_ADDRESS}}. These terms are an agreement between you and us. By creating an account you accept them.

2. Your account

You need an account to use LymeBooks. Keep your password private and tell us at {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}} if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including the people you invite.

3. Your data is yours

Everything you enter or upload (transactions, documents, customer and vendor records) belongs to you. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models. We access it only to run the service, to help you, or to investigate a problem you or our systems report (every such access is logged and visible to you in your settings), and when the law requires.

4. What we do with it

We store your data on servers in the United States, and back it up nightly; backups are kept for a limited period and then deleted. Documents you upload to the Inbox may be processed by an AI model to read them. That processing happens either on infrastructure we operate or at a provider contractually barred from keeping your documents or training on them.

5. Export, any time

You can export your books at any time, in every plan and in every account state, including read-only. Leaving should never cost you your history.

6. Plans, trials and payment

New accounts get a 30-day free trial with no card. After that you choose a plan. Payments are taken by Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record and handles tax and invoices. Prices are shown before you subscribe and can change with 30 days' notice by email; changes never apply to the current billing period.

7. If a payment fails or you cancel

Your books become read-only. You can still sign in, run every report and export everything. If nothing changes, we may archive the account, and we email you before we do. You can cancel from the Billing page at any time; access continues to the end of the period you paid for.

8. Refunds

See our refund policy at /refunds/.

9. Acceptable use

Don't use LymeBooks to break the law, to store data you have no right to, or to probe or overload the service. We may suspend an account that does.

10. Our promises and their limits

We work hard to keep LymeBooks available and accurate, but we provide it "as is". We are not accountants and LymeBooks is not tax advice; check your figures with a professional. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits.

11. Changes to these terms

We will email you at least 30 days before a material change. Continuing to use LymeBooks after that means you accept it.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of {{STATE}}, United States. Disputes go to the courts there, unless your local law gives you the right to bring them at home.
